Make Cambridge Wildly Beautiful
A City Full of Life, One Garden at a Time
We envision a future where our community is engaged in ecological restoration projects, boosting biodiversity, enhancing community wellness, and inspiring similar projects in public and private spaces around the city.
Our first goal is to create native plant community gardens and wildflower meadows at Danehy Park to augment the wetland and Miyawaki Forest ecosystems, establishing Danehy as a focal point for expanding biodiversity in Cambridge.
Native Plant Pollinator Garden Now at Danehy Park!
Planted on June 15, 2025
Our first pollinator garden is now in the ground at Danehy Park—a welcoming space for both people and pollinators to enjoy! Click here to see exact location (it is close to the Miyawaki forest).
With newly planted wildflowers, shrubs, and grasses, the garden will soon offer vital habitat for bees, moths, butterflies, and other pollinators—the quiet heroes of our ecosystems.
Created in partnership with the City of Cambridge and Biodiversity for a Livable Climate, the garden now depends on community care.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just curious, we’d love your help with watering, weeding, and ongoing stewardship!

Become a garden steward!
💧 Care for the Garden. Throughout Summer. Help water, weed, and care for the plants through the season. Even a little time makes a big difference.
💚 Donate to Support the Garden. Help us close the gap— we’ve already covered upfront costs for native plants and temporary fencing, and we’re still fundraising to pay them off. Every dollar you give goes directly toward these expenses and keeps our biodiversity project growing!

About Us
We’re a group of local volunteers from many fields, dedicated to supporting biodiversity and restoring local ecosystems by planting and caring for native plants, which are the foundation of a healthy native pollinator population: bees, butterflies, birds, spiders, hover flies and many more. You can do this, too, by planting in your own green spaces or encouraging others to plant natives in the green spaces where you live, work, play, and learn. Let’s make our city a biodiverse paradise where we can all thrive together!
